In our graduation film, I was responsible for materials, lighting, partial environment modeling and character design. One of my proudest contributions was developing a unique ink-painting style Toon Shading. This approach allowed me to experiment with blending traditional Chinese aesthetics with 3D animation, something I had long wanted to explore. By carefully designing the shader, controlling brushstroke-like textures, and adjusting lighting to mimic the flow of ink, I was able to achieve a painterly look that gave the film a distinct artistic identity.
